Robert A. Graham, Sr.
November 17, 1932 - July 11, 2018

Robert Augustus Graham Sr., 85, of Pascagoula, MS passed away on Wednesday July 11, 2018 in Mobile AL. Mr. Graham was born November 17, 1932 in Bayou La Batre, AL to the late Captain Eugene Graham and Agnes Schambeau Graham. He married Norma Jean Anderson on January 28, 1954. Together they were members of First Baptist Church in Pascagoula.

Known as “Buddy” to many, he attended the University of Alabama. After an illness brought him closer to home, he attended Spring Hill College, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. After graduation, he continued working on a shrimp boat in the Gulf of Mexico. He grew the business with family into a seafood processing operation that spanned over four decades. Mr. Graham loved his family, his work, politics, anything related to the University of Alabama, and most of all, his grandchildren. Later in life, he was known most appropriately as “Papa”, not only to his grandchildren, but also to their friends. He was a genuine, loving grandfather who lived every moment to bring joy and smiles to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He leaves a legacy of three generations with wonderful memories of loyalty and life.

In additional to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-seven years, Norma Jean Graham, his daughter, Julie Andea Parr, two sisters, Mildred Bosarge and Gloria “Tinkie” Kraver, and his brother, Dayton Graham.

He is survived by his daughter and son in-law, Jenny Kay and Michael Odom of Pascagoula; son and daughter in-law, Robert Graham Jr and Angy Graham of Brandon MS; Jeffrey Parr of Fairhope AL; two sisters, June (Glennon) Bosarge of Mobile AL; Gene Peterson of Pascagoula; brother, Charles Graham Sr of Pascagoula; grandchildren, Adam (Katie-Scott) Parr of Pascagoula, Christina Parr (Cody) Dunaway of Tuscaloosa AL, Yeleanna Parr and Olivia Parr of Fairhope AL, Graham (Haley) Odom of Flora MS, Garrett Odom of Perkinston MS, Carter Graham and Robert “Trey” Graham III of Brandon MS, Jennifer Graham Dearman of Pascagoula; great-grandchildren, Oliver Parr of Pascagoula, Elliot Odom of Flora MS, and James Dearman and Benjamin Dearman of Pascagoula.

Visitation will be Monday, July 16, 2018 at First Baptist Church in Pascagoula from 12 – 2pm, with the funeral service beginning at 2pm. Interment will conclude services at Memory Gardens in Fairhope AL. Serving as pallbearers will be Robert Graham Jr, Michael Odom, Adam Parr, Graham Odom, Garrett Odom, Keith Delcambre, and Vernon Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be: brother in-law, Walton Kraver; Nick Saban, Curt Hebert, Matthew Kuluz, John Gaffney, John McNutt, Charles Barber, Matthew Zelenka, and Charles Young.
