Betty J. Browder
February 16, 1941 - January 28, 2018
Betty Jo Browder slipped gently into eternity on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at the age of 76.
Betty was born February 16, 1941 in Missouri to Frank and Anna Compton. She met and married the love of her life William Browder. This union was blessed with two children Scott and Michelle. Betty was a member of Ingalls Avenue Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School, was a choir member, on the We Care Committee just to name a few. She was a member of Betty Pittman‘s Sunday School Class, that she loved dearly. She was an avid PHS football fan holding season tickets from 1980-2017. Betty was also owner of Burgess Courier for many years. It is hard to describe in a few words the impact of this lady who touched the lives of so many. Loving, kind, caring, giving, optimistic and helpful poured from her being to those she loved. The greatest of these characteristics shown brightest in her role as wife, mother, and meme. Although our hearts are saddened by her loss we are thankful her suffering is over and once again she will be reunited with the love of her life.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William in 2014. She is survived by her children, Scott Browder (Wendy) and Michelle Haarala (Mitchell) both of Pascagoula; siblings, Frank Compton (Terre) of Texas and Ruth Ann Hill (John) of Tennessee; grandchildren, Alison Alvarado, Abby Browder, Benjamin and Jackson Haarala.
Funeral Service will be at Ingalls Avenue Baptist Church on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at 1:30 pm with Visitation from 12-00-1:30pm. Interment will conclude at Jackson County Memorial Park.
