Sue Robbins, age 76, of Gautier was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She entered into her new life with the Lord and Savior on Feb. 10, 2017. She was born in Smith County, MS (Taylorsville) on Jan. 21, 1941. Sue moved to Pascagoula in 1956 where she met and married her husband. After 20 years of life in the U.S. Navy they returned to Pascagoula and Gautier area. She retired from Singing River Hospital in 2000 after working many years as a switchboard operator and in the admissions department.
Sue was an active member of First Baptist Church in Gautier and especially in her Sunday School Class which she dearly loved. She was highly recognized as being a wise and kind hearted woman who was a go to friend for family members and friends. She is known for her generosity and hospitality.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert T. Robbins, Jr; mother, Ola Mae McCollum; father, Ather T. Hosey; step mother, Roberta Hosey; brother, Douglas Hosey; special (like a sister) cousin, Cora Lee Jenkins. Sue is survived by son and daughter, Terry Eugene “Skip” Robbins, Penny (Marvin), Bedsaul, both of Gautier; four grandchildren, Kell (Amanda) Robbins and Seth (Jessie) Robbins all of Gautier; Lukas (Ariel) Bedsaul, St. Louis, MO and Joanna Bedsaul; two great grandchildren, Cierra Bedsaul, St. Louis, MO; Declan Robbins, Gautier; one sister, Evelyn (Jimmy) Linton, Hurley, MS; one brother, Rickey (Robin) Hosey, Hattiesburg; special friends, Emery Kate and Willie Payno.
Visitation will be Monday, Feb. 13, 2017, 11:00-1:00pm, at O’Bryant-O’Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula. Funeral Service will follow at 1:00pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be at Crestlawn Memorial Park in Ocean Springs. Pallbearers will be Seth Robbins, Kell Robbins, Jay Frasier, Jared Rogers, Lukas Bedsaul, and Nathan Hosey.
